Can you be found this Christmas?

Can you be found this Christmas?

Mary had it tough! We often portray the Christmas story with Mary riding a donkey toward Bethlehem and giving birth in a stable, as though it were almost clinical and joy-filled. Having attended at least four births, including my own, though I don't remember much...

How to handle expectation

Handling our expectation helps us handle life in general! Having travelled in several parts of the world, I have observed an interesting phenomenon. Happiness seems to reduce in direct proportion to our expectations. In Africa, where the normal people have so little...

Good News, there is light at the end of the tunnel!

As we begin the slow process of coming out of lockdown, this gives hope and possibly at the same time a little frustration in wanting to be free and able to resume "normality". The journey from darkness to light spiritually is very similar and can be a frustrating...

As far as I am aware, and I believe even the most ardent atheist would have to agree, the Christian faith, the true Christian faith, is not based upon some religious ideas or theological expressions, but on a number of historical facts. Facts that have been evidenced by more historical writings than most other non-religious historical facts. The crucifixion of Jesus is attested to by historical documents that are both Christian and non-Christian alike. So, when scripture declares that, "We did not follow cleverly invented stories when we told you about the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty." (2 Peter 1:16), we should recognise that this was written by someone who was actually there, and not by some secular historian, out to make a name for themselves some 2000 years later, or an unbelieving bishop suggesting resurrection is "a conjuring trick with bones". So, today, ask yourself, in this time when fake news abounds, whose account of historical facts do you believe? One who was there, or someone viewing events from 2000 years later?Photo by Curdin on Unsplash ... See MoreSee Less
