At the beginning of every New Year there seems to be an optimistic attitude looking forward. As we tend to lose heart and passion quickly due to many life factors, especially if we fail or do not meet a target it’s important to know how to keep forward momentum.

If we loose sight of the truth that Jesus has done everything that requires doing, and we do not have to perform our way into His good books, this can have a massive positiver effect on keeping up momentum. A true Christian walk, by definition is a journey, in a forward direction towards the truth of the Gospel. If you can work on your belief in the truth that Jesus has qualified you for God’s favour, this helps to empower you when you feel you have not hit the mark. Knowing and believing this truth, will have a radical effect on your forward momentum this year. God has not only given you the desire to do His will, He has actually given you the power as well.

Right now at the beginning of the second month of this New Year, stop and take a deep breath, remind yourself that Jesus has paid the price, He has made you His righteousness and wants you to walk in His love and favour. Do not allow the enemy to bring you condemnation or allow him to accuse you of failure, rather focus on the true majesty of God and His desire to see you grow and walk in the victory He died to give you!

Believe and receive! It is the way of Jesus, any other way is based on your ability and your works, whcih are doomed to fail.

Journey this year and ask the Holy Spirit to open your mind to new truth you can believe in, this is what will keep your momentum.

A New Year is always a great time for refreshing our minds on what we purpose to do with the time, talents and resources at our disposal!

The sense of “clean sheet” or “fresh start” can be quite daunting or very exciting, that depends on the type of person you have grown into.

During 2012, I want to encourage as many people as possible to open their minds to the incredible work that Jesus completed on their behalf! He came and carried out His mandate from the Father with nothing left undone and the job totally finished.

What does this mean for you? Well as the year unfolds, I want to encourage you to find this out! Why not listen to our sermon podcasts and watch this blog space for some simple yet life transforming truths that will open a window of thinking to you that truly brings transformation to the way you see yourself, those around you and the world.

I thank God hat Jesus came to bring me super abundant life, I thank Him daily for the growing revelation He has given me through the Holy Spirit, that I am forgiven, restored, righteous and joy filled. This same truth is applicable to you as well. My prayer and encouragement for you is to find out what is yours in Christ and fully enjoy it and the power for living it releases to you.

Have a great year

Well as soon as bonfire night is over it seems as though we suddenly hit the whole Christmas build up very quickly. As a church we are going to really celebrate the incredible gift of Jesus to mankind by our Heavenly Father. I don’t know about you and your celebrations this year, but I want to encourage everyone to take some time to stop the rush and really pause for thought and think about why millions of people do the whole Christmas deal each year.

What are you expecting this Christmas? Join our journey at this church over the festive month of December as we tackle the question “what is the reason for the season”?

We start our journey on the 4th of December 6:00pm with a special Christmas Celebration service with BBQ food, festive refreshments and a contemporary feel.
